Sleek Chic

Hi everyone! Hope you’re all doing well. As you can see, today’s outfit is a bit different from the usual. If you’ve been a reader for a while, you’d recognize how my style is all about prints and unusual color combinations, but today I experimented with different cuts and discarded the prints for now in order to achieve a somewhat minimal outfit. I began styling the outfit with a pair of culottes, which are bound to be a huge hit in a season or two. A hybrid of wide-leg trousers and midi-skirts, they’re comfortable, sleek and super diverse. If you’re more a of a casual gal, then opt for a pair of sneakers, a slouchy tee and a collection of dainty necklaces for good measure. If you want to look more polished, then a pair of ‘barely there’ sandals and a cropped top will do just the trick.

However, if you want to achieve the effortless, sleek chic look – then today’s post is just that. There’s something about hanging a jacket on your shoulder that instantly elevates one’s character – similar to tying a sweater around your neck. A combination of that, a high neck sweater and a Vintage Chanel – and we’ve got ourselves a sleek outfit without trying too hard. The trick is about the details: less exposed zippers, buttons or heavy jewelry. I hope you guys like the outfit, and stay tuned as I’ll be showing you more ways to style culottes!
