Menswear Monday: Playing it Cool
Hey everyone! Here we go with the fourth of the Mesnwear Monday series. It was supposed to be last Monday, but due to my midterms and college assignments, I decided to post it today. After several weeks of styling mens’ outfits, I noticed the large difference between menswear and womens wear. Men’s fashion is far more simplified, they don’t go through the hassle of having to choose from a hundred different prints or styles, whereas in women’s fashion, one brown jacket, for example, could have hundreds of different cuts, silhouettes, pocket sizes and colors – making it so difficult for us to choose! I personally always suffer from this little problem when shopping. I am blinded by all the different options of just one piece, always thinking of how to perfect my choices, and usually end up not buying anything due to frustration.
So, just like how menswear is simplified, I decided to start simplifying my choices. Extracting anything that is unnecessary and narrowing down my choices. It will take time, but I know it’ll be better in the long run. Anyway, for this outfit, I really wanted to combine brown leather with green, as I’m really fond of the harmonious combination of both. Somehow it reminds me of – wait for it – trees. Indeed, it never hurts to take inspiration from nature, no matter how cliché it may sound. Just like how colors in nature blend together well, so can they in fashion. I decided to opt for a casual pair of jeans once again, and well, here’s the result! Hope you guys like it!
