Ralph Lauren Girl

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve sat down and sketched, and this morning I had some fueling energy so I decided to take advantage of this motivation and do as much sketches as I can! These moments of complete motivation come rare, so I always make sure to utilize them as much as I could. Anyway, as you can see by the title, I decided to call this outfit the ‘Ralph Lauren Girl’. It wasn’t intended, but as I was adding the finishing touches to the outfit, it somehow resembled the country-like yet affluent vibe of the Ralph Lauren look. It’s an outfit that feels vintage in a way, thanks to the River Island checked navy mini skirt, yet pulled into the 21st century with this bold Elizabeth and James red bucket bag.

Somehow the look also feels similar to the outfit I wore to the Cairo Fashion Festival last Friday (can’t believe a week has passed already!). I’ve seen the belted scarf and trench coat look on the Burberry fall/winter 2014 runway and decided to give it a go, and let’s just say I loved it. It’s a fresh twist to the way scarves are worn, yet still feels classy depending on how you wear it. I’ve received so many compliments on the look, and I’ll definitely be trying it more often.

On another note, I can’t believe this year is coming to an end, and fast. We’re already in mid November, and as much as I hate to see the year end, I am super excited for the holidays! It’s one of my absolute favorite times (if not the only one) of the year. Getting dressed becomes much more exciting, Christmas trees and the traditional gold and red colors fill store fronts and streets, and most importantly, shopping becomes super affordable! With that being said, I’d like to introduce you guys to the Choies thanksgiving sale. I’ve bought a couple of items from them before and I really like how they’re always stocking interesting pieces, especially the coats. You don’t have to start holiday shopping late – go ahead from now! I’ve taken a look and there are some gorgeous items for ridiculous prices. Also, their Black Friday sale is not so bad – I’m talking less than $10 for a sweater. Happy shopping!
