Menswear Monday: Featuring the VICTORINOX I.N.O.X watch
First, let me start off by saying that I’m SUPER excited to be launching this new series! I’ve never illustrated men before, and for a long time now I’ve been contemplating initiating this. There is no perfect timing for anything, so I though I’d go ahead and go for it.
Now, for the past couple years, I have slowly transitioned from buying quick, trendy and statement pieces to rather timeless and more versatile pieces. It wasn’t an abrupt change, but rather a change of heart and style over months. I learned to appreciate ever-lasting garments such as an efficient and sturdy bag in a neutral color, or a pair of shoes that can be worn all day to college, five days a week, without being worn out quickly.
Furthermore; who else masters timelessness and elegance than Swiss craftsmen? I hope you guys got a clue of what I’m talking about here: in celebration of its 130th anniversary, swiss knife manufacturer Victorinox created a masterpiece that reflects the qualities of the prominent Swiss knife: a highly qualified watch, otherwise known as the I.N.O.X.
You see, I love watches. Most days I neglect all kinds of accessories and jewelry but the only thing stuck to me is a good watch. It’s a companion from day to night that saves you from missing meetings (in my case lectures) or outings and deadlines in between. The Victorinox I.N.O.X, on the other hand, is not just your average watch. You see, it can resist severe temperatures. It can resist two hours in a washing machine. It can even tolerate a 64-ton tank drive over it – although I wouldn’t recommend you try that at home.
Washing machines and tanks aside, I.N.O.X is truly a symbol of immortality. Not just in a classic style sense, but in the literal sense. So for today’s outfit, I styled a navy I.N.O.X watch in a way that represents its class and timelessness. Diving into the men’s world of fashion is quite novel yet really exciting to me, and I really enjoyed putting together this outfit. So, what do you guys think of this outfit?
